Dubai has plenty to offer both visitors and residents, with a number of year round attractions plus a number of entertainment events on the menu. Some of these are unique to Dubai and you won't find them anywhere else in the world, some are 'regular' forms of entertainment but still worthy of consideration for a visit if you're in the Emirate.

Events take place throughout the week, but as in most other parts of the world it's the weekend that sees a fair portion of the action. On this page we'll be looking at what's on this weekend in Dubai.

This Weekend in Dubai - Fri 4th to Sunday 6th April

From Thursday to Sunday this weekend it's great news for horticultural fans while the International Gardens Competition is in full flow. From 10am to 10pm daily at The Venue on Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard you'll get the chance to see work from some of the best landscape gardeners - both local and international.

The Dubai Art Season continues at DWTC with the third edition of Middle East Film and Comic Con 2014. Here uou'll be able to get involved in different activities such as dressing up as superheroes and taking part in competitions.

On the theatrical front, that well known film The Wizard Of Oz gets an airing at the Madinat Theatre, with a musical production designed to entertain both young and old. Shows commence right away and run up to the 18th, with a number of performances daily at 1 pm/2.30 pm/6.00 pm and 7.30 pm. until 18th April.

For anyone with a future marriage planned, take a trip to the Dubai World Trade Centre from April 2nd to the 5th for Bride Dubai 2014 - plenty on show to make your wedding stand out, with pavilions, VIP lounges, and hundreds of exhibitors this is the place to find the best bridal fashions and supporting services.
